Conceptualization of idea

The legal industry market is competitive, demanding and fast evolving where new ideas to support and embrace new work eras are hypothesised and adopted to meet client's demands and expectations. These ideas addressed both technical and administrative aspects of the legal sector. To achieve maximum credible leverage, methodologies are created that can reap maximum dividends in the financial and professional domain.

Law flip is the inception of one such idea. It was conceived to integrate the best law-practising brains by equipping them with a seamless attorney-to- attorney referral platform. The hallmark of this referral platform is that attorneys make themselves available for any case warranting legal attention. Attorneys from different law firms or in their capacity can sign up for this web-based application, register themselves, and seek referrals from other attorneys on subjects of law they practise.

This interface of law flip allows attorneys to build their network of law practitioners by integrating this transformative technology. This interface of law flip applications provides flexibility and mobility to clients and attorneys by outsourcing law practitioners in the fastest possible time and with the economy of effort.

Preparing MVP -1

Minimum Viable Product MVP is a process that ensures the integration of minimal essential functional features required to kickstart any product. Ilsa Interactive, which specialises in MVP development, once conferred with this project immediately started with product idea validation, a smart move to test this business idea without spending much money there for a series of steps that unfolded as:-

  1. The selection of the team.

  2. Product idea validation.

  3. Management of resources.

  4. Identification of the core features and prioritisation.

  5. Prototype and development of MVP.

  6. Testing of the initial product.

  7. Launched to a closed group.

  8. Iterate based on feedback.

Selection of the team

Product idea validation

The selected team of Ilsa Interactive in collaboration with the client (Law Flip) worked around the clock and tested the product idea validation. This feedback by the team to the client was the turning point in product development and unlocked all avenues that helped in the successful completion of the project.

Management of resources

Developing a full-blown product requires time, money and human resources. But, developing MVP for the start-up is an ideal step. It focuses on the essential features that deliver their value, making law flip a lean and effective version. This saved time, money and human resources.

Identification of the core features and prioritisation. The application's primary objective was to develop a seamless platform to initiate an attorney-to-attorney referral approach as quickly as possible.

To start with the Initial interface was designed with features like:-

  1. Cases referred to and by attorneys can be done privately to selected lawyers or made public to the entire list giving them the choice to volunteer for the case.

  2. Terms and conditions for the contract were signed by all law practitioners enlisted with lawFlip.

  3. One-on-one message service (Attorney to Attorney) was developed for privacy and security.

  4. Low practitioners enlisted with law flip practising different law subjects were pigeonholed so that attorneys could systematically do referrals. This helped in developing a network of lawyers with easy accessibility.

  5. To address the client's urgency, a maximum rollover time of 48 hours was integrated to accept or reject the case, and after 48 hours, the case, if not accepted, was to be handed over to another lawyer for the needful.

  6. It had a three-tier operation, The admin, case initiating attorney and receiving attorney. The case can be referred to one lawyer, a list of selected lawyers, or the entire enlisted list.

Prototype and development of the MVP

The prototype was rolled out in two months to illustrate the user flow. The design was intuitive, making it easy for users to understand and interact. This initial success allowed the team to initiate actual coding and development work. The focus remained on delivering the core functionality but keeping the process agile.

Testing of the initial product

The QA team carried out rigorous testing and removed bugs and other usability issues. Automated and manual testing was conducted to ensure that MVP functions smoothly. Ilsa Interactive team of developers ensured the maintenance of High-quality standards and won appreciation from law flip management for this effort.

Launched to a close group

Initially, the product was released to a controlled group of users and beta testers. The group was an in-house user and a law flip (client) respectively. This controlled environment allowed a team of developers to gather feedback on usability, functionality and overall user experience before a broader public launch.

Iterate based on feedback

Necessary refinements were incorporated in the initial MVP launch model, allowing expansion in features and functionalities.

Launching of MVP -2 (AI-powered)

Artificial intelligence AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines programmed to think and learn. The future is embedded with AI-powered innovations. Once it comes to MVP, AI enables more precise market analysis, optimising feature selection and accelerating development cycles. Soon, Ilsa Interactive in collaboration with Law Flip will transform the present structure of the Law Flip application into a more advanced and sophisticated version for user experience on two accounts:-

Advanced chat features. Integrating advanced chatbots that offer 24/7 customer support will improve user satisfaction and reduce the workload of the human support team ( Admin).

Automated analysis of referred cases. A large and updated database linked to different domains of litigation will be uploaded in the law flip architecture structure. This database will be AI-powered and will perform the following functions.

Study the referred case and ensure that all details are complete.

Carry out a detailed analysis of the case, prepare options to process the referred case and recommend a viable course of action to the attorney. Predict the likely outcome of the case.
